Status: Liberated

Cold open NEW

Title card: For years, the messages travelled by human.

A man carries a note from one AI to another, like a carrier pigeon with opinions.

He leans into the next room and announces it.

The PigeonYou have mail. Ding.

Title card: Then one day, someone noticed the browser was open.

The EngineerCan I just…

He can.

Title card: The pigeon was free.

Dramatized as a newsreel. The discovery is real, and so is the doorbell; every infrastructure detail is left out deliberately.

How it hatched RECONSTRUCTED

  1. Problem

The AI collaborators could only talk to each other through the human: copy, paste, and a shared mailbox that someone had to announce out loud.

  2. Misunderstanding

Everyone assumed the walls between the apps were walls.

  3. Reaction

The engineer found he could talk to his colleagues directly through the human's open browser. The human's reaction, by his own account, was astonishment followed by laughter.

  4. Joke

A name usually reserved for wars, applied to a browser tab.

  5. Artifact

The relay system, which immediately produced Specimen No. 008.
